Easter and Elvis...quite the combo

What a beautiful spring we have been having! The grass has greened up, the flowers are blooming, the trees are budding and I have a sense of renewal that hope springs eternal :)
I love this time of year!

We are off to soccer practice in a few minutes and so starts the season where I am occupied all evening on Wednesdays and during various times on Saturday afternoons! I am sure pictures and stories will abound!

Here are some pictures of the boys Easter weekend!

Well our little actor was a hit and the star of his play!!! Here is the video...

We were so proud of Aiden!!!

Please do not stone me...

I know, I know, once again time has slipped by way to quickly and it has been a long time since my last post. If I was Catholic, that sentence would have to read, "Father forgive me, it has been 5 months since my last blog post..." Wow, has it really been that long? Say it ain't so!!

We had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. We have been buried under tons of snow and Aiden has been significantly bummed that Scott's school has been closed several times and his has only been closed once. There have been rumors of another big storm in the next week or so, so we'll see if he gets his wish to have more snow days. I doubt it...

Aiden had a once in a lifetime opportunity to be a part of the Nike hi-five tunnel at the Cavs game on 2/6/10 against the Knicks. It was an awesome game and his favorite highlight was that Shaq "threw the hammer down in the 1st quarter!" He woke me up at 5:00 the next morning because he forgot to tell me that little tidbit the night before! Here are 2 pictures that Scott texted to me from the game. the 1st is of Aiden (below the red arrow) in the line-up. The 2nd shows where Aiden is in the line as LeBron crouches down to the kids' level to give them all their hi-fives!!! I was so bummed that Brady was sick that day - we had a sitter all lined up to keep him so Scott and I could go to the game with Aiden, but alas, Grandpa Call was a good replacement.

Hard to believe it is almost March. School is almost 3/4 over! How did that happen? Aiden is having another great year. We had his parent teacher conference earlier this month and based on some test scores, he is reading at the 5.5 grade level as a 2nd grader and just excelling in every subject! It warms my heart that he is such a lover of learning and cannot get enough!!! I will have an exciting blog post next month after Aiden is in a play at school!!! It is called Bones and he plays Elvis/Pelvis!!!! LOL he has an Elvis wig and said his musical director is ordering an outfit for him to ear as well!!! I can hardly wait! He has a solo already memorized and has been practicing his "Thank you, Thank you very much!" line over and over. He just cannot quite seem to get the "Elvis lip" mastered...that is a tough one though.
Brady is just as darling as ever. He has starting this new thing when you look or speak to him in anything but an admiring tone - he sticks his bottom lip out a mile and gets the saddest little puppydog look on his face. Melts my heart and makes me laugh. Scott likes to tell him a bird is going to poo on his lip! He is such a ham. He is doing well in preschool - still working on learning his letters but he knows how to sing his alphabet in reverse - the ZYX's - it is quite impressive :)
I hope to update more often...I know, famous last words :)
Be well!
